Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
This page is maintained by Vanguard Computers to explain how we handle personal information. It describes our current practices and the controls available to you; it is not a certification or legal guarantee.
1. Who we are
Vanguard Computers is the data controller for information collected through https://vanguard-computers.co.uk. Our registered address is 17 North John Street, Apartment 36, Liverpool L2 5AA, and our privacy contact is customer.support@vanguard-computers.co.uk.
2. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, billing address, and the components you select for your PC build. We also collect technical information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, and device information, to operate and secure the site.
3. How we use your data
We use your information to process and deliver orders, provide customer support, send order updates, maintain our records, prevent fraud, and improve our products and services. We rely on contract necessity, legal obligation, legitimate interest, and — where required — your consent to do this.
4. Who we share data with
We work with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf. Current subprocessors include:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Supabase — cloud database, hosting, and authentication.
- Gmail — customer support email handling.
We only share what is necessary for each provider to perform its role, and we require them to protect your data. We do not sell personal information.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum or the provider’s UK adequacy measures to protect your data.
6. How long we keep data
We keep order and account data for as long as necessary to fulfil your order, provide support, honour warranty obligations, and comply with legal and tax requirements. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or we stop using it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, although we may need to retain some records for legal reasons.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact customer.support@vanguard-computers.co.uk. We will respond within one month, or longer for complex requests.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to process your order. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can manage non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and regular reviews of our service providers. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your account details safe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services or the law changes. The latest version will always be available on this page with the updated date at the top.
